Dear Parents,

It is my great pleasure and honor to welcome you back, parents and students, for another year at Dasman Bilingual School.

I am Rihab Abdel Khalek, the Middle School Principal. This school year will mark my 26th year at Dasman Bilingual School and my 12th in an academic management position.

To continue to grow as an instructional leader, I attended Queen Rania Teacher Academy the past year where I earned a degree in Advanced Leadership besides my Master’s in Leadership in Education from Framingham State University.

My team consists of Ms. Nisrine Hassoun who is newly appointed as the Middle School Vice Principal, Mr. Russell Gross the Senior Coordinator, Ms. Suraiya Munir the new LSU and RI Coordinator, and the Heads of Departments. Together we will strive to enhance the supportive and nurturing culture of Middle School, by continuing to care for our students academically, socially, and emotionally and by taking into consideration the impact of the pandemic on them; their safety and well-being is our utmost priority.

As well, the team will focus on helping students master the 21st century skills of critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration. The aim is to encourage our students to step out in confidence as global citizens and become pioneers of the knowledge they acquire, in their society and internationally.

In addition, we will work on enhancing students’ leadership skills by promoting voice and choice, challenging their curiosity, and motivating their leadership skills.

Working closely with you, our dear parents, ensures our students’ continuous success.

It is our intention to make you and your children feel welcomed, connected, and valuable members of our DBS family.
